usb-mouse (usb-uhci & usb-ohci) why loads module?

hi all,

i am a complete newbie in usb, so i need some help to understand whats
going on. Sorry for this real huge statement, but i wanted to deliver all
perhaps needed information @once. Will cut off in replies, what is not
needed...

...i have a compaq proliant server, with a pci usb-hub with 2 ports. ...i
have a old logitech ps/2 mouseman.
...i connect this ps/2 mouseman to a usb-converter
...i plug it into the usb-port

...and nothing happens, mouse is not moving. have perhaps to say, that
between mouse and proliant there is a ps/2 kvm-swich.

nevertheless, my proliant seems to recognize something, because of the
following errors:

as i thought i just have the last USB Controller the OPTi....i dunno what
is doing the other one...should i reconfigure my kernel and recompile?
