You should put all mozilla plugins in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins.  This 
way you don't have to mess with them when you upgrade and they get used 
by both Mozilla and firefox

I rebuilt and installed the src.rpm from 
http://bugzilla.fedora.us/show_bug.cgi?id1272 and everything is smooth 
so far.  I haven't tried to install an extension yet.  That was a 
problem with the old firebird rpm.
