I have an RCA LYRA RD1090 has anyone got this device to work with linux? I
used the USBAT 2 drivers. The device is seen and I can mount it and read. I
can delete files. The problem starts when I try to transfer MP3s to the
device. The system acts like its writing but then will hang and even
sometimes force me to reboot. Also the MP3 never get transfered to the LYra.
The funny thing though is in the Lyra the MP3 ID tag changes to the Song I
tried to load into it but the song is still the original one. I assume it has
something to do the the file system which I think is FAT but not sure. Any
help would be nice this is a great MP3 player.

Here is the log file when I plug the RCA in:

Everything looks okay

Mount the device at /dev/sda /mnt/cf
Eveything okay
I do an ls and the file names are the ones I transferd but same old songs.
Crazy huh.

I do a rm *.mp3 and it deletes 2 files and then this in the log

Feb 12 07:58:27 ts46-01-qdr1366 kernel: Filesystem panic (dev 08:00).
Feb 12 07:58:27 ts46-01-qdr1366 kernel: fat_free: deleting beyond EOF
Feb 12 07:58:27 ts46-01-qdr1366 kernel: File system has been set read-only

It looks like its not reading the End of File.
I have no idea from here whats going on. Beyond my abilities. :-)
Any help would be nice this is a great MP3 player.
