By-pass Autorun

Hi,
In Windows, I can hold down the left shift key (I think), when inserting a CD, 
and that will by-pass the autorun function.

That doesn't work in FC1.

I don't see anything in man autorun.
I Googled for 'Fedora autorun' and didn't find anything useful.
I would have searched the list archives, had they been available.

Is there a way to temporarily by-pass Autorun in FC1?
