Giving up on Linux...

Don't know about running a hyperthread P4 with Linux but I run FC1 on
two machines (Desktop & Laptop, both PIII) and I get in a couple of days
a Dell with a Centrino. Guess the first test will be with a life Gentoo
and the Knoppix CD till I figured out how I can part the HD in a dual
boot system (XP, FC1 and maybe FC2test as well).

Even though I use only Linux since 3 months I had neither a problem with
Linux nor Fedora, I can't complain 'bout hardware or software problems
and I am looking forward to try it when I get the new system. To be
honest, I don't understand why people say that Linux is so complicated
and so difficult since I feel fine as a newbie.

I'm also none of those gurus but just an ordinary decent user who's
looking for a working OS and I don't need SOTA Hardware, Linux does the
job and that much better than Windows. There might be some flaws but
compare these flaws with the common problems of Windows (regular system
crashes, bluescreen, security flaws, viruses & worms to name a few), I
am happy tp trade this all in for a stable OS that doesn't support all
hardware but 95 % of it?

What's more important, a stable and working system or a beta version
which accepts all hardware but is a liability to the user? After 6 Years
using Windows 95, 98, NT, W2K and XP my answer to this question is
Linux.

PS: As fare as I found out on various lists, users help each other with
their problems and even Intel starts doing something to get their
wireless tech running under Linux

PPS: Kernel 2.6.3? haven't heard anything 'bout it, thought the newest
version was 2.6.2?
