Getting just Security Updates

No, this is not possible, I think.

Of course, you could manually pick the security updates listed on
http://fedoranews.org/updates/ but that is not what you meant, I guess.

The solution may be to split the updates-released into two separate
collections of rpm, security and non-security. Then, you can configure
up2date and/or yum (or whatever updater you use) to only scan for
security updates.

I suggest you submit an enhancement bug report to
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/ to have your idea traced from now on.
