Which repositories should I use?

Hi All,

This has probably been answered before - but I couldn't find an exact answer.

I usually use apt-get to keep my system up to date - but I'm not 100% sure I'm
using the best repository - or enough repositories. Are they all compatable?

I saw a link to http://www.xades.com/proj/fedora_repos.html which just says
ditch the sources files I have to apt/yum/up2date and use the ones listed
there - is that wise?

I have some other questions as well :)

Is there a frontend for yum linke synaptic - cause I feel like I'm missing
out?

Should I use apt/yum/up2date all together, are they compatable?

What is the Dag repository? Is that compatable?

Some of the sources on the xades site list unstable and testing - should I be
using those as well? Which is worse unstable or testing.

Is there going to be a newer version of KDE for FC1?

I'm using FC1 on my home machine and on my work laptop and I like to know I'm
not missing out on anything extra ;)

Thanks in advance.
