blackbox in Fedora

Fluxbox (based on blackbox) works fine on my Fedora laptop.
I only had to add the file /etc/X11/dm/Sessions/fluxbox.desktop 
with contents:

[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Name=Fluxbox
Type=Application
Icon=
Exec=/usr/bin/fluxbox

Perhaps a similar blackbox.desktop file would work for you.
