erm haven't you ever heard of yum?

how about:

add this to your /etc/yum.conf:

[livna-stable]
name=Livna.org Fedora Compatible Packages (stable)
baseurl= http://rpm.livna.org/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/yum/stable
gpgcheck=1

then:
# yum install mplayer



... and bingo you have mplayer installed.
