Anyone else having problems with ggv ???

I just tried using ggv, the replacement for ghostview, and
when I type 'ggv' it just hangs FOREVER.

Doing the same as root, it comes right up.

Doing a 'ldd ggv' shows that it depends on 50+ shared libraries
(this may be a new record).

In any case, any thoughts on what one has to do to get it to 
run as a non-root user????
