you'll have to manually download the rpms from www.atrpms.net and use:
rpm -ivh /module/.rpm

And yes you'll have to be logged in as root.
You can also get "atrpms" from the same site... it's the second module 
you need to install.

You shouldn't have to use Yum at all, if you don't want too.

After you've installed the 6 modules... the next time you reboot your 
hardware monitor should detect the new IPW2100. Then once you log back 
into Gnome... you can modify the eth1 wireless profile for your wireless 
network.
