HFS Plus R/W Mounting Problem

What kernel are you using? I'm tracking rawhide, and the latest arjanv
kernels tend to have better firewire support

What about logs? Does dmesg or /var/log/messages report back anything
useful?

I presume this is on an x86 machine as well?
