$ rpm -qf /usr/bin/ld
binutils-2.15.90.0.3-5

So install the binutils package.

$ rpm -qf /usr/lib/crt1.o
glibc-devel-2.3.3-27

Install the glibc-devel package - it is NOT the same as glib-devel.
