FC2 Gnome broken

Thanks Ben,

I must not have explained myself correctly.  root is the ONLY GNome that
works properly.  Ot is the other users that do not - including new user
accounts.  [not the othr way around]  I obviously did write a config to
root but I can't see anything all that different to my other accounts.

This happened when I first brought the system up to date after
installing FC2 Final so it has something to do with system files.

I have spefici setups for users (eg email etc) so simply copying the
.gconf* directories is unlikely to work.

I would like to know which system config files affect how GNome is
displayed and interacts with Xorg/XFree86.  Also what FC mods were done
with the X server ???
