I know, thats what I am trying to explain,

Thats what I do, and it looks very broken, I'll explain:
So I boot init 3 and install the driver, edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf.
replace nv with nvidia and add a line to the bottom of the Drivers
section Option "NvAGP" "1" as it is the only one that works out of the 4
options. (By the way I had no problems testing the same system with MDK9
/ 10 or RHEL3.)
I run X get a black gui and pointer.
ctl-alt-backspace to quit.
now the console is buggered its just black, but the console mouse
pointer works.
Press enter a few times and I get a bash prompt absolute right side
center of the screen.
OK
type reset get the same.
tried ctrl-alt-f1 /f2 /f3 /f4 ....
same on all
type init 6
nothing
I hit the reset switch reboot and and boot into gnome and all is fine no
problems.
logout and login again no problems.
ctl-alt-fn and the consoles are unusable.
