I'm puzzled. I have several Radeon 8500 cards (not to mention a laptop with
an M6), and they've all worked perfectly fine in 3D mode with the open
source drivers, right out of the box. Why doesn't the answer to the faq say

  1. Start your FC2 system in runlevel 5
  2. There, you're done.
