AutoCAD Alternatives -- revisited

I guess I missed the first discussion as I just joined up 2 or 3 days
ago... I've been using blender for sometime now and I know now that
its open source they have a branch that is designed for CAD purposes,
I have no idea how its coming along, but I found a link.
