Im using that setup right now the 2.6 Kernel config is as follows: make 
config --> make install/makebzimage --> make modules --> make 
modules_install --> make install again if you have a initrd.

As for fglrx you need to patch it with the amd_adv_spec fix patch look 
for it on google you will find it quick if you need some help IM me at
