HTML Links on Evolution

Why don't you turn it of then??? Tools -> Settings -> Editor Settings ->
uncheck "Compose messages in HTML"

Nope, not really :-) You might start evolution from the command line, 
it will give you an error when you click on the link.

Gnome: Main menu -> Preferences -> "Preferred Applications" (?, I don't
know the English name) -> select Mozilla

Also make sure that in Preferences -> Filetypes & Applications there are
valid handlers for http, https and ftp.
