samba Problem

Well, well, well.  Think I got it to work to a satisfactory level.  I 
found that I cannot map using \\p2\var but it will work if I do 
\\192.168.0.177\var.  I don't know why but it works.

Ok having said that, I think I will not ask how to connect to my laptop 
FROM the linux machine...  Neah looks scary.

I think I am going to bed.
