Installing kernel 2.6.4 0n (not over) 2.4

Hm, It's nice and works, but X with nvidia on 2.6 kernel doesn't.
X works with default nv driver only.
I stay on 2.4 because pptp failed start so I can't to connect to inet 
via adsl
and other problems like cupsd failure and so on.
Will be waiting for upcoming FC2...
