building vmmon

You really should look at the VMware website for more info, and read 
their documentation. Admittedly their documentation does not mention 
'Fedora' at all, however most info related to Redhat is relevant to 
Fedora.

You need to install 'kernel-source' rpm.  That is different to 
kernel-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl.src.rpm  .

BTW I would also update your system, several new kernels have been 
released since 2115.
