Multiple IP-addresses on one interface

Sorry for replying to myself, but now I rememer looking at this, but
dropped it because of this 
(from /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifup-aliases):


# The above example values create the interfaces eth0:0 through eth0:253
# using ipaddrs 192.168.30.1 through 192.168.30.254, inclusive.

As I said, I wanted to avoid these old style aliases.
