OK, you're running a motherboard with an integrated Intel Express 
graphics controller. Intel now has released Linux drivers for these. I'm 
betting they will be better/faster than the standard X alternative.

The default X calls it an Intel 810 series chip set. I suggest going to 
the Intel web site for the Intel drivers. Like the nVidia ones, they are 
binary only and designed specifically for the chip set so I'm guessing 
all you're problems may go away with these drivers.

Doesn't really matter. Do you still have the manual? I WOULD suggest 
going into the manual and comparing your capabilities to those listed in 
the XFree configuration file. Things like sync can screw you around 
later if it isn't right the first time.
