X server won't start

hi
i installed a new vga card.Nvidia geForce mx.i can run redhat-config-xfree86 successfully, but when i give the command startx, the x session fails to start, giving the following error message: 
 
 Section "ServerLayout"
 not a recognized section name.
 
 
What do i do?
