Compaq Laptop? Try pressing F10. I remember there being a blinking block 
on some corner of the LCD, when you see that, hit F10 really hard. It 
should load the BIOS. Of course, this was on a really old Compaq Armada, 
but from what I've seen after that, it might still be F10.
