Re-starting X

When I run system-config-display under FC-2,
I am advised when it finishes
to logout and "restart X".
I'm running KDE,
and it is not clear to me how one can restart X
from the login screen.
(I tried Ctrl-Alt-BckSpace but that did not work.)

Any advice gratefully received.
