Installing FC2 from Windows partition

I have two drives on my system - 1 30Gb dedicated to Windows and 1 6 Gb
with RH 9.0 from which I plan to continue my introduction to Linux

I will replace RH 9.0 with FC 2 and will do a full install vice upgrade.

I used BitTorrent to download the FC2 release and I have it sitting on a
Windows partition (RH sees it as /dev/hda8 and it is name wdload)

My question is this. I know I should make CD's from the images but I was
wondering if there was a way I could boot into RH 9 and use the images on
the Windows drive (all Windows partitions are visible in RH 9.0) to do the
install

In an earlier message Jakob Jelinak outlined the below process. I assume
LINE 1 - "mount -o loop FC2-i386-disc1.iso /mnt/cdrom" mounts the image as
a pseudo CDROM device. Can this logic be extended to a Windows partition
along with related option in Grub? If so how could I do it?

Thanks for helping this neophyte understand what is happening.

Jakob's message quote
If you have some disk partition which you don't install to,
you can do hard disk installation.
Simply, put the ISO images into some directory on that partition,

cp -a /mnt/cdrom/isolinux/vmlinuz /boot/FC2-install
cp -a /mnt/cdrom/isolinux/initrd.img /boot/FC2-install.img
umount /mnt/cdrom

and add entry like:

title Fedora Core 2 Installation
         root (hd0,0)
         kernel /boot/FC2-install
         initrd /boot/FC2-install.img
to your /etc/grub.conf, then reboot into "Fedora Core 2 Installation".
During the install choose Hard Disk installation and point the installer
at the partition with ISOs.
