I just tried that same test on my s2460 (dual 1200) with no
problems.  It might be a graphics card problem.  Did you try
just typing return and try the gui install?  My system has an
NVidia G4.  It has run all versions of FC1 and all test versions
of FC2.  Maybe someone else could suggest some command
line options to try.  My firmware rev is also 1.05.
