You are already sending in both text and html - it is a mime message.
That means that if the person reading is capable of reading html mail,
they will, but if not, they will see the text version. Look at the
messge source and you can see both parts:

Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

If one is using web based e-mail, how do I post in plain text?  I am at =
home this morning using Exchange webmail.

How do I get rid of the html portion?  I can't edit the source.
