So... I got home, downloaded and compiled/installed madwifi according to
the instructions in the README file they included. Didn't seem that
there was much to it, really. However, as far as I can tell it isn't
working, and I'm not getting an error.
Here's the output from 'lspci' and 'cardctl ident':

So I know the system knows it's there. However, after running 'ifconfig ath0 up' I get:

It's there - but I get no IP address, and I can't connect out using it.
Any ideas what I've missed? I may go back to the Linuxant loaders, just because they claim to have a solution that will work for me, but I'd rather not...
