Backing up and exporting a GNUPG key

gpg --send-keys [key ID]

Maybe set a specific key server in ~/.gnupg/gpg.conf.

tar xvf gnupg.backup.tar ~/.gnupg

>   3. Restore my key on the new system.

Just deflate the tar archive you previously created.
