Fedora won't boot after upgrade from FC2 to FC3

Sometimes help is hard to come by.  Have you looked in your /boot
directory and are any of your old kernels in there?  If so then
edit /etc/grub.conf and add a boot section in there to get you back
where you were, or at least closer.
