gnome/kde "add or remove packages" utility

Akin to Window's "Add/Remove Software", the Gnome/KDE utility for adding 
additional packages is kind of handy at times, if for nothing else than 
to get RPM package names associated with "english" names.

However, I haven't found any way to tell that software to install 
packages based on an FTP connection the same way I did my installation.

I downloaded the disc 1 iso and the DVD iso, and mounted the DVD iso on 
an internal LAN system using "mount -o loop FC3-i386-DVD.iso 
/path/to/dvd" and burned the disc 1 iso onto a CD for booting. During 
the boot process, I specify "linux askmethod" to chose the FTP install, 
give it the server name, path, and login details and away it goes - nice 
and fast, and no CD's to change... walk away, have lunch, etc., come 
back and it's finished.

However, this "Add or Remove Programs" software doesn't seem to have any 
way to install packages (or groups of packages) via FTP in the same 
fashion. I don't want to have to burn all 4 CD's to add one or two 
utilities, and would much rather use that software to, say, add Gnome, 
after an installation was already finished, than to reinstall the whole 
OS all over again to select that option.

Any suggestions? Feedback? Should I submit this feature to the Fedora 
crew? (install RPMs the same was as "linux askmethod" allows: CDROM, HD, 
HTTP, FTP, NFS)
