unable to install FC3

In case that's not clear, I meant 
tail -f /var/log/messages
LEAVE THAT RUNNING!
and plug in the tablet. There should be more lines coming up through
tail.

(If it locks that machine, use Ctrl-Alt-F1 to switch to a text terminal,
and repeat).
