NetworkManager Problems

This is a great idea but I cannot get it to work on my laptop. Yes, I am
using DHCP on both devices and, yes, I have the message bus enabled. I
have tried both the distributed package and the one in devel.

It seems smart enough to disable ATH0 and bring up ETH0. However, if I
pull the plug, ATH0 never activates. Should I (grasping at straws) move
network devices to UDEV perhaps?

Any ideas or alternative software would be appreciated. TIA.
