Dear All,
I have just done a fresh install of FC3, and pulled across all available updates. I've noticed a number of issues:
(1) On boot, there's a long (>10s) hang after the audit(..) message. Removing quiet from the kernel parameters via grub shows that this hang happens after the message
Nov 22 19:01:55 localhost kernel: ide1 at 0x170-0x177,0x376 on irq 15
(2) Both eggcups and gnome-colume-manager die after login as gnome starts. running /etc/cron.d/prelink seems to fix this issue (this has been mentioned on the list previously)
(3) On shutdown, the shutdown of the hal daemon fails.
Nov 22 18:42:51 localhost haldaemon: haldaemon shutdown failed
Any suggestions? Not sure what extra info I should provide, but below is the lspci -v for the IDE, which may be relevant to (1) above:
