Multiple application using sound

If you're using alsa, try this:

... and if you look through the archives, I'm sure there was some 
variations to that posted to the list a couple of months ago. There was 
one that get this a bit furhter, makeing the 'dmix' device the default, 
so it was transparent for most applications.
