It's been a while since this was reported. I see the bug being
reported all the way back to May of this year. Now I ran into it
myself - tried installing on a machine that has been running
RH7.x/8.x/9.x/FC1 without issues - FC2 installer fails right up front,
and I cannot install.

Any updated pointers to a solution?
