Red Hat nash problem

I can boot into rescue mode with disk #1.  What is the NEW #1 cdrom?

I looked at the bug, but I'm not sure if it directly applies in this 
situation.  I can't boot from the single processor kernel.  If the fix 
for that bug also fixes mine, I would be happy.  I would be happy for 
any fix to the problem.
