After upgrading to 2.6.8.1, k3b stopped working

This problem has been reported and answered many times on this list.
The 2.6.8 kernels have a bug which prevents them from writing to CDs. You
can write as root but not as a user. It is best to revert to the 2.6.7 kernel
so that you can use k3b as a user.
