I am using microATX boards from Intel.  Purchased from
www.tigerdirect.com  P4 up to 3.2 ghz, 800mhz fsb, SATA drives, plenty
of memory.

Works great with FC2.  I don't use Athlon so I can't help you there. 
However tigerdirect sells all kinds and I am very pleased with their
service.
