serious boot problem with FC1

Hi all,
       i was using fedora core 1 for quite some time. Recently the booting is in jeopardy, all i can make out is that the machine blinks on the login prompt for a few times, then the CUI comes and a messege says "WAITING FOR FREE 123654 GOT 123645" and keeps blinking.
