Stopping users logging in via X

Maybe switch into runlevel 3 by invoking "init 3". And later, when users
shall see again the gdm login screen, run "init 5". Of course this does
not stop anyone to login in a console or remotely. Take care the SSHD is
running in runlevel 3 (chkconfig --list sshd).
