help with making a FC2 CD bootable

Thanks, guys, for your help.  I was making that silly mistake of burning the CD as a file instead of as an image.  Duh!

I was able to boot up the PC using FC2 disc1 and ran mediacheck.  It failed.  Hmmm...  Didn't say why, and I'm wondering how significant this may be.  I'll try re-burning, but I hate to have to re-download the ISO files.  Was wondering if it matters that I've tried re-writing to this single CD disc many times before (to try to burn this image).  Could that be a problem?  Should I use a fresh disc?
