Hi all,

A friend of mine is having some problems installing FC3. He has a
Matrox G100 video board. During the instalation, his hardware is
correctly detected, but when the graphic instalation mode is
initialized, it crashes.

The tmp/X.log file says:

``...
OS Kernel: Linux version 2.6.9-1.667
(bhcompile at tweety.build.redhat.com) (gcc version 3.4.2 20041017 (Red

(++) from command line, (!!) notice, (II) informational,
(WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (??) unknown.

error opening security policy file /etc/X11/xserver/SecurityPolicy
Could not init font path element unix/:7100, removing from list!''

We've checked <http://wiki.x.org/wiki/VideoDrivers> to confirm the
support for this board, and there it is. Researching through Google we
found some people telling it works on this or that distribution, but
we couldn't get it to work on FC3.

Has anybody here experienced this? Does anybody know the solution? :)
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the attention,
