Is there devlabel functionality in FC3

I am in the process of upgrading from FC1 to FC3. I see that devlabel has
been deprecated. Is there something that replaces the functionality that
devlabel provided. Consistent/persistent storage device access through
symlinking. I need to ensure that when I attached my external hard drives
that they always get mounted at the same mount point
