If you think I'm confusing you, think about what's going on in my own 
brain ;-)
DNS setup is the black hole in my knowledge - I started reading up on it this 
am, but I had to leave for work. I did stumble upon nscd in my reading this 
morning, but I'd just started reading up on it before I had to leave.
