old habits die hard.

I started out doing it that way and didn't get it to work but did get
the 'old' way to work really quickly which is where I quit. Funny thing
is, upon looking at it, I had ldap_bind = yes and not a suitable
ldap_bind_dn attribute and nothing ever complained ;-)

I'll probably modify what I am doing - will look at it and revise after
the holidays.
