Just to note, I didn't write any of the quoted text.  What I wrote:

Using apropos2 makes grep "silliness" unnecessary.  One can say:

    apropos remove file

and get only the entries with both "remove" and "file", rather than the
original apropos behavior of all the entries with "remove" and then all the
entries with "file".  One can also say:

    apropos remove file 1

which is a bit sloppy in that it will allow a "1" anywhere, but seems good
enough for the purpose.  (I don't usually specify the section as sometimes
the answer I need is in, say, section 8.)

Apropos2 could be made part of the standard man distribution if enough
people used it and commented favorably on it to the man package maintainer.
It could even be packaged for Fedora Extras if a FE packager wants to do it.
